My INTINU16X6 students have created some WordPress blogs during Spring 2016. Most are about photography featuring their own photos. Check them out!
Sorry for the long delay in posting the 2nd part of my photo series. I have been busy in real life and last weekend was Ropecon 2015, the biggest annual role-playing game related event in Finland. I will later make a blog entry about Ropecon 2015, but you can already enjoy the 200+ photos I took there at:
The first part of this article can be found here.
Now here is my next batch of my B&W photos from China:
See part 3.
The winter in Southern Finland has been bleak so far. Many think it is not possible to take good photos when it is really dark almost all the time and almost no snow to lit up the scene. Here are my humble attempts to capture the true beauty of everyday winter life in Finland. Photos are from Riihimäki, Finland and Suomenlinna, Helsinki, Finland. I adjusted the photos to be brighter than reality (= my trademark), so even the night shots appear to be as if they were taken during day light. I don’t use any tripod.
All photos were taken using Olympus OM-D E-M5 and Panasonic 20 mm F/1.7 lens. I used DxO Optics Pro 9.5 and DxO Filmpack Elite for photo editing. By clicking the photos you can view a 2560×1920 resolution (FullHD+) version of them.

People go swimming here in summer. It looks so empty now. Suomenlinna, Helsinki.

Silhouette of the trees without leaves. In summer this place is so crowded with people, now almost eerie.

I really love the blue shades and calm of the silent winter nights. It relaxes the mind and body. What do you think?
This was my first attempt in WordPress blogging to create an example page for my first year students, who study markup languages, web publishing and photo manipulation. Please leave comments below.
